On Monday we went with Violeta and her 2 daughters and we
taught them the gospel of Christ or lesson 3 and we invited them to be baptized
for the 16 of August and all of them accepted, but said they need to come to
church to confirm their feelings. But one of the daughters just had a baby by C-section,
so she needs a little time to recover but hopefully they will come to church this
coming Sunday…
Last week I was supposed to go to Xela to get some tests
done but I was too sick to go. My stomach feels better, but the nurses called
and told me just to be safe I have to get the tests done. So on Saturday we had
to go to Xela and it was basically a trip so that I could go to the bathroom. It
cracked me up because they gave me a baby food jar and I had to do a number 2
in that. Weird…not that great of an experience. Today we had to go again to see if I have
anything. I have also been feeling better with my cold. Still have it but it doesn’t affect me too
much anymore.
We are also teaching a family and our zone leaders have a
new approach to teaching the ppl here in Toto. First we really have to gain
their confidence then we can start teaching them. This family is great. And
they crack me up. We had the first teaching visit with them this week and it
went great. So hopefully they will accept. I also was able to try on a corte. I
will send a pic!
On Friday we had a missionary activity and we had a
bonfire with the whole ward and played games and taught people how to make
smores…it was really fun!! Side note, also on Monday I taught ppl how to make
cakes in the microwave. I brought my cooking spray and nobody could get over
the cooking spray they thought it was the coolest thing ever. Now everyone is
going to go buy it. hahaha.
But the best thing that happened was on Sunday! Chris
decided to get baptized and he set his date. It’s a little ways away but he wants
to get baptized the 18th of September because it’s his birthday and he said
what better gift could I give myself? It was so great!!! We are so happy. Also
we finished the change (transfers). I don’t have changes which I’m happy about
but I bet I will have emergency changes like usual, because the month of August
will be nuts because there aren’t any changes in August and a lot of missionaries
will be going home a little early. So we will see what happens.
Well that’s my week. Hope you all have a good one. love
ya lots
Hna Anderson
