This week was a great week!!! On Tuesday we met
our new mission president and his wife! They are the greatest! They are so
different from our old president. And the president´s wife can speak Spanish.
She is still learning but she is adorable! We had a conference with him and it
was so spiritually uplifting. He is focusing a lot in our personal conversion
so we can share the gospel more powerfully with others. One thing I loved that
he said. He told us that more important than the interview to enter the temple
is the interview we have with Heavenly Father every day or night in our
prayers. I love that! My prayers have changed so much because of what he said.
So I invite you all to have an personal interview with Heavenly Father in your
prayers about how you did during the day. It will change a lot of things in
your life. We also had personal interviews with him and then with his wife.
They are so humble and so amazing I’m so excited that they are here!!!
Wednesday was really sweet. Chris says he wants to
serve a mission, so we invited him to go and visit with us. He came and visited
with us from 3:00pm – 9:30pm. All of the lessons we had also helped him and he
was just so great. He invited one of our investigators to church. Then we
visited Yeni and the kids - love his guts. It was just great. We hope and pray
that he will get baptized this Saturday. We will see what happens and if
it is supposed to happen it will happen. I have never had an investigator so
complicated. He is one tough case. But he has been reading the Book of Mormon
and we haven’t even been bugging him about it and he hates reading. He is so
complicated because he has so many doubts. But he is such a great kid. He went
to church yesterday and the ward was so friendly and great with him, it was the
best!
Friday was just one of those great successful days.
We found a new family through helping them carries their firewood into their
house. Also we walked passed 2 young men and I kept walking but as we kept
walking the spirit was like you got to go back and talk to them. And I told my
companion that and we went back and talked to them. They actually have a friend
that’s on a mission. They accepted to come to the FHE tonight so hopefully they
will come.
On Saturday we were waiting for one of our investigators
in the park. The whole world is in the park on Saturdays. We contacted a few
ppl but I felt like the freak show and it also doesn’t help that everyone
thinks my companion is a gringa because she is with me. But we ran into one of
our investigators walking in circles in the park (that’s all the youth do
here). And we found out she has a boyfriend that is 29 years old and she is
only 13!!!! We couldn’t believe it.
Sunday we had the lesson in Sunday School
and in the Relief Society. That was kind of fun... NOT. But it all turned out
fine. Sundays are the hardest day here. NOBODY is home. Everyone is at church. And
we just walk from house to house hoping to find someone. So I basically talked
to everyone we saw so we could do something. But all and all it was a great
week. I also got a blessing from the elders. It was exactly what I needed to
hear. I have been frustrated because I have been sick so much. And the first
thing the elder said was Heavenly Father knows how you are feeling and knows
your frustration but you will get better, but it will come slowly, little by
little. And a ton of other things I needed, it was the best. Every time I get a
blessing it strengthens my testimony of the priesthood. Well - have a wonderful
week. Love you all so much!

p.s. we also celebrated 4th of July. We made a fire and
roasted stuff and there was also a piñata. So it wasn’t the best 4th of
July in the world but hey we celebrated it.
